Series summary: Tigers at Twins

The Twins finished their 3-game series vs. the Tigers on Wednesday. They lost the series finale 1-4.

Series Timeline:
Game 1: Twins 4 Tigers 2
In Ron Gardenhire's return to Target Field, his Tigers lost to the Twins 4-2. Fernando Rodney has the credit for the save. The Tigers continued their lack-of-runs streak.

Game 2: Twins 6 Tigers 0
Lance Lynn completed his first perfect game for the Twins this year. He only gave up 5 hits and no runs.

Game 3: Twins 1 Tigers 4
Not a great game by the Twins. Bats did not work out as hoped. The epitome of this is when Brian Dozier's go-ahead home run got stuck in the top of the center field wall, and was ruled a ground-rule double.

Overall, a decently-played series by the Twins. I think they could have played better, but lately I will take this.

AL Central Update
Cleveland won a couple and lost one over this series. Minnesota currently sits 2 whole games behind the Indians. Detroit is still on the heels of the Twins, only 2 games behind them.

Bullpen
Miguel Sano was to play for Triple-A Rochester on First Base on Wednesday, with a potential return to the Twins coming very soon. Right-hand Pitcher Micheal Pineda will throw 15 pitches on Wednesday for the first time since Tommy John surgery in July.

Up next is the 6-game road trip. First up is a 3-game series at Seattle which starts tomorrow Friday, May 25th.

Go Twins!
