Series summary: twins at Angels

The Twins finished up their 4 game series against the Angels on Sunday. They lost 1-2 to the Angels behind spectacular pitching by both rookies Fernando Romero (MIN) and Shohei Ohtani (LAA). Unfortunately it ended with a walk off run which adds to Minnesota's League-Worst 6th walk-off loss.

The series ended with a tie, both teams taking 2 games a piece. The Angels took the first game by a score of 7-4. Minnesota took the next two games by scores of 5-4 and 5-3. The Angels then took the series finale by a score of 2-1.
The Twins end their 10-game road trip with a record of 7-3 during that span. Quite the impressive streak.
It seems Brian Dozier's bat is starting to come back to life after a severe cold streak.

AL Central Update
Over the course of Minnesota's impressive 10-game road trip, they moved from 3rd place to 2nd place in the AL Central, only a game and a half behind Cleveland.

Bullpen
This series saw the return of Byron Buxton off the DL. He finished the series with a .178 batting average, 1 RBI, and 1 run. He did not play the series finale on Sunday.

The Twins now move back to Target Field to play a makeup game with the Mariners, which begins a 9-game home stand. After the Mariners the Twins will play another 2-game stint against the Cardinals, which last time ended with a 2-game sweep by the Twins while only allowing one run to St. Louis.
