Twins continue rebound vs. Cards

The Twins won their series finale vs. the White Sox on Sunday. That completes the win for Minnesota 3 games to 1.

Then they flew to St. Louis to play the Cardinals for a 2 game stretch. Fernando Romero impressed again in his second Major League start. He continued his no-run streak to 16 innings and struck out 9. The Twins won that game 6-0.

Minnesota won the series finale and completed the 2 game sweep of the Cardinals by a score of 7-1. A very impressive outing indeed, moves the Twins to a 5-game winning streak.

Also, Cleveland lost yesterday so the Twins are within a half game of the Indians. They could take the lead tomorrow if they win in LA.

In other news, Byron Buxton looks to be heading back to playing baseball. He participated in running drills on Monday and Molitor said he might make his return when the Twins visit the Angels.
