6/21/2018

The Twins had a great thing going. Then they laid an egg on Thursday afternoon.

Series Scores:
Game 1: Twins 6 Red Sox 2
Jose Berrios had an outstanding game! This was a very close game until the 8th inning. The Twins scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning, with 2 big hits from Eduardo Escobar.
Game 2: Twins 4 Red Sox 1
Max Kepler is the MVP of this game, both on offense and defense. He had a great hit to give the Twins the advantage in the later innings. He also had a great catch in center field in the 8th inning.
Game 3: Twins 2 Red Sox 9
Boston's best hitters showed their true form and each hit home runs. See the "Bullpen" section for more details on this game.

Series Summary
It all was going good until game 3. In the game 1 and 2 the Twins showed they could keep up with a high power team like the Red Sox. It really showed that the Twins pitching is much better then we previously thought. But that all came to an end on Thursday afternoon.

Bullpen
3B Eduardo Escobar left the series finale vs. the Red Sox after getting hit by a pitch. He is now day-to-day.
OF Eddie Rosario did not play on Thursday afternoon for a currently unknown reason.

Up Next
The Twins will now finish their homestand with a 3-game series vs. the Rangers starting on Friday, June 22nd.
