Twins lose Season series vs. Angels

6/12/2018

The Twins lost a series that was very tough for them.

Series Scores
Game 1: Final: Twins 2 Angels 4
Really close game for the Twins up until the 7th inning.
Game 2: Final: Twins 1 Angels 2
Surprisingly another close game that was not a walk-off loss.
Game 3: Final: Twins 7 Angels 5
The Angels made all of us grind our teeth but the Twins survived and won the season series finale.

Summary
The Twins overall this season played quite well against a very good Angels team. The away series was a huge success but they struggled quite a bit at home.
Overall it was a lot more competitive than I thought it would be.
Even though the Twins lost the season series vs. the Angels 3-4 I feel like I can count it as a minor win.

AL Central Update
Cleveland still holds a 5 game lead over Detroit and a 5.5 game lead over the Twins. Nothing new in the rest of the division.

Bullpen
2B Brian Dozier took a day off and Escobar started at second. OF Byron Buxton and 1B Joe Mauer did some pre-game base-running on Sunday. Mauer did some field and batting practice. After the game finished, the Twins announced that Joe will begin his rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Rochester.

Up Next
Another division rival series at the 2nd place Detroit Tigers.

Go Twins!
