Twins win series against Kansas City, move on to tampa bay

The Twins have won 6 of their last 7 games and I am shocked.

Series Scores
Game 1: Final: Twins 3 Royals 1
Very close game by the Twins but they scored late to win the game. Great pitching!
Game 2: Final: Twins 4 Royals 9
Kansas city pulled out in front early in the game and the Twins couldn't rally back.
Game 3: Final: Twins 8 Royals 5
The Twins batting was outstanding!

Series Summary
I have to say, while game 2 was not impressive, this series was really good for the Twins. It was a well played series against a division opponent, especially not long after the White Sox series.
The Twins have been rolling lately, even though it is against low level teams it is still good to see it given that I was convinced the Twins couldn't beat anyone.

AL Central Update
It has been a while since I published a division update. Minnesota is only 8 games behind Cleveland, which has grown closer over the past week. Detroit is 11 and a half games behind Cleveland and 3 and a half games behind the Twins. Chicago and Kansas City are still way back in 4th and 5th. Not much of a change.

Bullpen
RHP Addison Reed was placed on the DL with tightness in his right tricepts. INF Ehire Adrianza is on track to come off the DL after missing 10 games with a strained left hamstring.

Up Next
The Twins will play their last series before the All-Star break at home in a 3-game series vs. Tampa Bay. They begin play on Thursday, July 12th.

Go Twins!
