Game Summary:
I was able to watch most of this game and it wasn't bad for most of it. The Vikings in general would trade drives back and forth with New Orleans. After a couple missed opportunities the Vikings found themselves down by 10 at half. In the 3rd quarter they were able to make it a 4 score game after Dan Bailey missed an extra point again. But after that things started to unravel. The teams traded touchdowns again. But then the Saints scored again and the Vikings turned it over on downs and that was pretty much the ball game.
Alvin Kamara scored 6 rushing touchdowns on the Vikings young and inexperienced defense which ties an NFL record. Said defense also allowed 52 points, the most by a Vikings defense since the 60's. Obviously the worst showing for them in Zimmer's tenure.

The Vikings were eliminated from the playoffs on Friday and at this point they are playing for pride and experience. This defense needs to grow. It seemed as if they were figuring out how to play better as a unit. Then Friday came around and its as if they forgot how to play defense. Something needs to change in the offseason for this unit. There is too much inexperience there.

Injury Report
TE Kyle Rudolph missed yet another game with his calf injury.
RB Alexander Mattison missed another game to an undisclosed injury.
There were several other backup injuries.

Up Next
The Vikings now travel to Detroit for the season finale. Kickoff is next Sunday, January 3rd on 12 PM CT.
