Game Recap:
Wow a very up and down game this was. I was very down in the first half as most of you could probably tell with the way I was live tweeting. But the second took a turn upward and went much better then the first. The Vikings ended the game scoring 20 unanswered points after they went the first half scoreless.
This feat is quite historic as all the teams that were down 20 points at half were 0-99 since 2015. The Vikings now add a win to that column.
After a touchdown from Cousins to Irv Smith Jr. the Vikings had hope and optimism started again. However the pressure now rested in the hands of the defense. While they didn't prevent a score they did prevent a touchdown and the Vikings got the ball back down 23-7. But the offense marched down and into the endzone with a 3 yard run from Dalvin Cook to bring the Vikings within 2 scores at 23-13. The defense went back on the field and did their job forcing a 3 and out for the Broncos. Cousins brought the offense back on for 5 plays in which he threw a 57 yard touchdown to Stefon Diggs to bring the Vikings closer at 23-20. Then the Broncos came on for another stop by the defense. Another drive for the Vikings with good field position after a terrible punt by the Broncos brought them a 34 yard touchdown to Kyle Rudolph for what ended up the game-winning touchdown. Now the Broncos still had 6 minutes left on the clock and they used all of it for a 19 play drive that ended with no points despite being on the goal line for the final 30 seconds.

The Vikings are victorious on a day that seemed grim. Good for the Vikes it shows their heart. Now they head into the bye week and need to prepare for Seattle in December.

NFC North
For the division this week, all teams hold the same place as last week. The Vikings move to 8-3, only a half game away from the Packers who were on bye. The Bears hold 3rd at 4-5, though they do play in Los Angeles against the Rams tonight. The Lions continue their tank at 4th with a record of 3-6-1 after their loss at home against the Cowboys this week.

Playoff Picture
I am introducing a new section to this post: playoff picture. I will go over what it looks like and potential scenarios for the rest of the year.
The Vikings sit as the second wild-card spot and 6th seed. They are only a half-game behind Seattle for the 5th seed and first wild-card spot. However, Minnesota has a shot at the division crown still. If the Vikings were to win out and beat Green Bay at home (if Green Bay stays at 2 losses) then the Vikings would claim the North crown and gain a potential first round bye or at least one home playoff game. That path is preferable. But given that this is the Vikings we are talking about, probably cannot expect a perfect season from here on out. Lets say they lose in Seattle (not totally out of the picture). Then they would need to win every game and count on Green Bay to lose a game to have a shot at the crown. Otherwise they claim the 2nd wild-card (unless Seattle loses 2 games). That really is all that's worth talking about right now. More should come as we get closer.

Up Next
The Vikings now go on their Week 12 bye. They come off the bye when they visit Seattle on Monday Night Football on December 2nd. Kickoff is at 7:20 PM CT.
