Well, the Vikings MNF record continues to get worse. I like some ideas mentioned on Twitter, can we just request that the NFL never put us on MNF ever again?

Game Summary:
Minnesota started out pretty rough in the 1st quarter. While the score didn't really show it, the Vikings already were in dire straits. Philly scored the first touchdown of the night on their first drive that went really long. We really don't know much about this Vikings team yet, especially the defense, so this was telling. The offense went 3 and out on their first drive. Then after allowing another Eagles touchdown the Vikings finally went on a long TD drive of their own that ended in a Cousins to Irv Smith touchdown, the first for the latter in almost 2 years. However, that is about where the excitement for the Vikings begins and ends.
In the 2nd quarter the Eagles kicked a field goal and scored another touchdown. Minnesota had a chance to make something of a drive under 3 minutes left, but Irv Smith Jr dropped a 30+ yard pass and the Vikings went 3 and out. Philly used that time to score their field goal I was talking about. Coming out of halftime the Vikings got the ball, and did nothing with it. They went 3 and out. Fortunately, so did Philly. The Vikings started to drive down the field and got down in the redzone, but Cousins threw his first pick of the night when there was a bad communication mishap between him and Jefferson. The next drive ended the same way when Cousins tried to find Adam Thielen in the endzone. This all occurred because of a blocked field goal returned to the 8 yard line. When the Vikings finally got the ball back again in the 4th quarter they drove down again, but Cousins threw his 3rd pick trying desperately to find Justin Jefferson in the back of the endzone. Now, weird thing is neither team scored in the 2nd half. Knowing how the defense played in the 2nd half, if the offense had managed to score on at least 2 of those interception drives, the game is a hell of a lot closer. However, what's done is done.

Injury Report
Rookie S Lewis Cine was active for this game, and played some snaps after Harrison Smith left the game in the 4th quarter.
S Harrison Smith left the game in the 4th quarter and did not return, being evaluated for a concussion.

Up Next
Now the Vikings will return home to face the rising Detroit Lions. Kickoff is on Sunday at 12 PM CT.
