Not going to dwell too much on this game as it was a great game by the Vikings.
While Dalvin Cook didn't rush for a touchdown today he did help tremendously in the offense by making the Giants always guess where the Vikings offense was going. Kirk looked sharp today with two crisp touchdowns to Adam Thielen today. Diggs also got a part of the action with 6 catches for 86 yards. The rookie wide reciever Bisi Johnson also had a decent day as he got the offense going early on.
A head-scratcher today is really just how many penalties were thrown. So many penalties were questionable. I am just glad it didn't cost the Vikings the game. Pat Shurmur I am sure is going to be upset with the refs but he isn't a Viking anymore!
My only concern with this Vikings team after today is the fumble by Cook and the botched snaps by Cousins and Elflein. That needs to be tighter. The defense also had some blown coverages that made you question the viability of our defense but other then that they did not break more then once. They even are responsible for a safety! After Cook fumbled on the goal-line the defense responded on the very next play to get a safety by stuffing the New York running back in the backfield.
Overall, though, a great game played by the Vikings today!
Now lets hope they can carry this momentum in US Bank next weekend when the Eagles come to town.

Standings Update
First standings update for the season yields some unfortunate results. The Vikings are still last in the North with the Bears being tied after a loss today. The Bears do own the tiebreaker after the loss last weekend in Chicago. Currently the Packers have the half game lead over Detroit for the lead. However Detroit is on bye this week and Green Bay is playing in Dallas today against a tough Cowboys team.

Up Next
As said previously, the Vikings are at home next weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles. Kickoff is at 12 PM CT.

SKOL Vikings!
