Game Summary:
So, the Vikings came out of the gate swinging. Kevin O'Connell took the more aggressive route after they won the toss and elected to receive. Minnesota came onto the field and marched down on a steady pace to score the first touchdown of the day to Dalvin Cook. Chicago then drove down on a long drive and kicked a field goal.
In the second quarter, the Vikings opened it up with another touchdown to Dalvin Cook to bring the lead to 14-3. The defense was able to stop the Bears offense and the Vikings got the ball back. Once it was back in purple, they drove down the field yet again. This time they scored on a flip pass to Jalen Reagor, scoring his first TD as a Viking. Unfortunately, Chicago was able to go down and score their first touchdown.
Out of halftime, Chicago scored on their first drive down the field and attempted a 2-point conversion, but it failed on a dropped pass. Minnesota couldn't manage anything else and the Bears kicked a 43 yard field goal.
In the fourth quarter, the Bears got the ball back on a pick thrown by Cousins and managed a 51 yard field goal. However, in the last 4 mins the Vikings got the ball back and scored on a Kirk Cousins heave over the goal line. They then succeeded on the two point conversion with a pass from Cousins to Jefferson.

Overall, the team had a great first half and terrible second half. They still have yet to put together a full game.

NFC North Update
Now that we are 5 weeks into the season, its time to check in on other teams in the division. Obviously the Vikings beat the Bears, which gives Minnesota sole control of the division and the Bears remain in 3rd place. Green Bay lost in London this morning to the Giants, so they are now firmly in 2nd place. Detroit lost in New England today without scoring a single point, and are 1-4 in last place.

Injury Report
Fortunately no additional injuries were sustained during the game.
CB Andrew Booth Jr was held out of today's game with a lingering injury. TE Ben Ellefson also did not play today due to a groin injury.

Up Next
Now the Vikings will hit the road again to go visit the banged up Dolphins in Miami. Kickoff is on Sunday at 12 PM CT.
