Game Recap:
The Vikings won a huge game on Sunday! This was a offensive shootout from start to finish. The defense definitely did not shine in this game and was very embarrassed. I am very worried about the defense moving forward as this was not a great showing. Now the defense did in the end provide the final push to win the game as Trae Waynes intercepted Matthew Stafford with around 2 minutes to go. This provided the offense time to run the clock out.
Adam Thielen did leave the game in the 1st quarter after a 25 yard touchdown catch with a hamstring injury. He was walking on the sideline after the injury but did not return to the game. He is supposed to have an MRI on Monday, the Vikings are optimistic it will come back with no additional injury. Thielen already said he hopes to play on Thursday.

Standings Update:
The Vikings and Packers both won this week so the Vikings still have second in the division. Since the Vikings beat the Lions, Minnesota now has a 1-2 division record. They will have no chance at that again now until week 14 when the Vikings come home to play the Lions again. The Bears lost to the Saints at home this week so they still claim 3rd.

Up Next:
The Vikings now will head home on a short week. They play the Washington Redskins on Thursday Night Football this Thursday, October 24th. Kickoff is at 7:20 PM CT.
