Game Recap:
Despite how upset I was on Twitter this afternoon, the Vikings did not play all that bad. While I am very upset with him, it was not all of Kirk Cousins' fault. He still had 3 touchdowns today. He still had a 96 passer rating. In another game this would be considered an awesome game. But the throws he didn't make are what made today's game. He overthrew his receivers several times. Several times he could have kept drives going if he would have made a simple throw. But he didn't. Now that being said it doesn't mean that because of that the game is lost. Despite his misses the Vikes led for most of the game because the Chiefs game them a second chance. The defense needs to look back at film this week and try and figure out why there were so much blown coverage. Many times I would scratch my head at plays the defense usually plays really well in and they just didn't this time. The defense was completely off their game in the 4th quarter and it hurt significantly. Then just when it wasn't going bad enough, Britton Colquitt whiffs on a punt to keep the Chiefs on our side of the field with under 2 minutes left.
Overall the team did not play well when they needed to today. Hopefully they all look at this game as a learning experience and use it as fuel for the next game.

NFC North Update
The Bears lost to the Eagles this afternoon to drop to 3-5, the Packers are currently losing in LA to the Chargers, and the Lions lost to the Raiders in Oakland. All of this means the division essentially shifted down a loss. The Vikings still hold 2nd place at 6-3, as well as a projected 6th seed in the NFC playoffs.

Up Next
The Vikings will now travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Kickoff is at 7:20 PM CT.
