The Minnesota Vikings third stringers lost a close game at home to the Chicago Bears starters on Sunday. Kind of impressive for the third stringers. Not much of a recap to follow.

RB:
M. Boone 17 car 148 yds 8.7 avg 1 TD 2 rec 12 yds
A. Abdullah 6 car 3 rec 36 yds
WR:
A. Hollins 2 rec 46 yds 23.0 avg
B. Johnson 3 rec 34 yds 11.3 avg
K:
D. Bailey 4/4 FG (39 yd long) 1/1 XP
DEF:
E. Wilson 1 sack
S. Weatherly 1 sack
I. Odenigbo 1 sack
A. Watts 1 sack

Game Recap:
This game wasn't the worst I have seen out of the Vikings given that it was the 3rd stringers against the Bears starters. Considering the game didn't end in convincing fashion in favor of the Bears, I would consider this a win for the 3rd stringers. Hopefully these guys will get jobs continuing after this season as that would be neat.

Playoff Picture:
The final playoff picture is in place. San Francisco claims the 1 seed after their win over Seattle. Green Bay claims the 2 seed after their win in Detroit. New Orleans keeps the 3 seed after their win in Carolina. Philadelphia claims the NFC East title and the 4 seed after their win in New York over the Giants. Seattle settles for a 5 seed after their loss in San Francisco. Minnesota claims the 6 seed after their loss at home to Chicago.

Up Next
Now the playoffs begin! Wild card weekend is this coming weekend, the Vikings will play in New Orleans (#3). Kickoff is on Sunday January 5 at 12:05 PM CT.
