Minnesota Hockey

Very slow start to the season for the Wild, lost two straight going into Weekend

The Minnesota Wild have lost two straight to start the season and hope to win their first when they visit Winnipeg on Thursday.

Game Recap:
Minnesota Wild 2 Nashville Predators 5
Goals (MIN): PP J. Zucker, FS M. Dumba, both in 2nd Period
Goals (NSH): R. Ellis (2nd), M. Granlund (3rd), A. Watson, V. Arvidsson, F. Forsberg

From what I have been hearing the Wild held it together the first 2 periods and then the wheels fell off from there. Not a great start and the next game wouldn't be much better.

Minnesota Wild 2 Colorado Avalanche 4
Goals (MIN): R. Suter (1st), PP Z. Parise (2nd)
Goals (COL): PP M. Rantanen (1st), P. Bellemare (1st), G. Landeskog (2nd), (Empty) R. Graves (3rd)

This game is similar to the previous but also different. The Wild were able to keep the game within reach until the very end of the 3rd Period.

Standings Update:
The Wild currently sit tied for last in the Central standings with a record of (0-2-0). Obviously its the first week of the season so anything can happen. However the defending Stanley Cup champions are a half game down from the Avalanche after last night's games.

The Wild are back in action again when they visit the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday, October 10th at 7 PM CT!

Go Wild!
