Wild Mid-Winter Update

1/17/2020

Since its been a couple months since my last Wild update lets recap what has happened since then.

Back in early December the Wild had just reached the .500 mark for the first time this season. Ironically they are right back to where the started at just about .500. The Wild spend most of the month of December at least 3 games about .500 and enjoyed a nice run that brought them as high as 5th in the Central Division Standings.
Since that time they have slouched a little bit. They just recently broke their 4 game skid with a win over the Lightning in Xcel Energy Center. They are now back to last in the Central division at just a game over the 500 mark.

Dubnyk has returned to the team over this time and made a decent month out of it. The rest of the skaters have played decently. Hopefully the Wild can turn it around a little bit and start another winning streak.
I will be starting the Wild Card standings around mid-March if the Wild are in position to try to make a Wild Card.

Up Next
The Wild will face 3 opponents at home before the All-Star break at the end of January. They will start with the Dallas Stars tomorrow Saturday, January 18 at 8 PM CT, on Monday, January 20 they face the Florida Panthers at 7 PM CT, and finish with the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday, January 22 at 7 PM CT. After that they move into the All-Star break in St. Louis, Missouri.
All-Star Weekend is on January 24-25, with the skills competition on the 24th and the All-Star game on the 25th. Minnesota Wild F Eric Staal will represent the Wild at the All-Star festivities!
