Wild Update: Early December 2019

12/2/2019

The Minnesota Wild have started to impress me. They are on a roll, winning 5 of their last 7 games. They are above the .500 mark for the first time in 2019. The other day it was a milestone to be at .500, never would I have thought the Wild would rise above the .500 mark so early this season after all the trouble in the first month.
They have lost a couple players due to injury. Goalie Devin Dubnyk has been out for a little while now for an undisclosed reason so the Wild have had to utilize their backup goalie Alex Stalock, native to St. Paul, far more then usual. They also have lost left wing Marcus Foligno to another undisclosed injury but he is marked day-to-day.
Defenseman Matt Dumba has been on and off the ice recently due to an undisclosed injury.

The Wild have ticked up since I first wrote on them this year. They seem to be able to win in tough situations. Now are they a playoff team? No, not yet. They need to rebuild and come back stronger.

Now the Wild have gone up a spot in the Central division standings. They jumped over Chicago for the 6th spot in the Central division. Realistically they are about 10 points out of the playoffs right now.

This should be a fun month for the Wild as hopefully this momentum will carry throughout the month and into the new year.
