Timberwolves on Fast Track for the Playoffs

Hah, I knew it was going to work!!

The Minnesota Timberwolves are on a track to at least the play in tournament! Gotta say the Wolves have shown a lot of improvement this year and this should be a fun ride in April and May! They have clinched at least a 20 win turnaround from last year to this year and that is probably the biggest accomplishment they have.

Right now the Wolves sit at 7th in the West, which would be the first play-in spot. But Minnesota is only a half game back from Denver for the 6 seed, which would be huge for the Wolves! I would rather the Wolves miss the play in tournament and go straight to the playoffs, that would be preferable instead of one game play-ins that are do or die.

This year the Wolves have consistently sat in the top 10 in efficiency in offense and defense. Currently the Wolves have the 4th best offense and 5th best defense in the NBA, which is a major improvement. While they might not make a whole lot of noise come postseason, this is a huge step forward for a team that sat in the cellar for two decades.

As far as the postseason goes, I think the Wolves could win a playoff series. I would be satisfied if the Wolves could at least bring their opponent to a 6 game series, if not a game 7. Right now, if they captured the 6, they would play the Warriors whom they beat 4 out of 6 times this season. Now all four games they won, Golden State missed at least one of their starters. But they never lost a game by more then 5 points to the Warriors. I believe they could take them to at least 6 games, maybe even a win.

For now, lets focus on the remaining schedule for the Wolves. The remaining schedule is as follows:
March 27: @ Boston (46-28)
March 30: @ Toronto (41-32)
April 1: @ Denver (43-31)
April 3: @ Houston (19-55)-e
April 5: vs. Washington (31-42)
April 7: vs. San Antonio (29-44)
April 10: vs. Chicago (42-31)

It won't be easy, but they can do it!
