Timberwolves Waive Cole Aldrich

6/30/2018

On Saturday, the Minnesota Timberwolves announced they have waived C Cole Aldrich.

Aldrich averaged 0.6 PTS and 0.1 AST for the Wolves in 2017-18.

Aldrich is a Minnesota native so this might sting more then other backups on the Minnesota roster.
Cole Aldrich's contract had him going fully guaranteed in 2018-19. So the Wolves now shed some cap back into the mix.

In other news the Wolves decided to not tender PG Marcus Georges-Hunt. He will become an unrestricted free agent.
Wolves management also decided to tender SG Nemanja Bjelica. He will become a restricted free agent and Minnesota has the opportunity to match any offer made to Bjelica.

Quite the week for the Wolves. Makes you wonder why they are clearing cap room?

Go Wolves!
