Wolves finally trade butler

After nearly 3 months of agony for the Minnesota Timberwolves organization they have finally dealt All-Star F Jimmy Butler. He will be shipped off to the Philadelphia 76ers along with Justin Patton in exchange for Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless, and a 2022 second round pick.

This ends the Jimmy Butler era in Minnesota in the ugliest way possible. I think most people would agree with me in saying this had to happen. Given how Butler and the Wolves have been interacting lately shows that this was not going to work. Coach Thibodeau must have finally seen that he cannot bring Butler back into the fold and meld everyone around him, it just isn't possible. Butler didn't want to stay in Minnesota for very selfish reasons and he couldn't get him out of that. Now the Butler circus heads to Philadelphia where I can't wait to see how he can blow that thing out of proportion. This season will probably go fine for them but as soon as they don't win the conference finals or make the NBA finals, even if they lose earlier, Butler will have a fit over the summer about how they aren't good enough. I really hope when the Sixers play again here at Target Center the crowd boos Butler so loudly he can't hear anything else. No reason to cheer for him any longer. Butler's story is great but how he acts behind the scenes is awful.
