This week in Bison sports, we are slowly winding down for the year.
This past weekend saw the last time we will see both Softball and Baseball in action on the same week.

Baseball
NDSU Baseball took on Omaha this weekend in another conference 4 game series. On Friday, they won both games of the doubleheader, the first one was a 5 run comeback! On Saturday, yet another comeback win most of which was in the 8th inning! This clinched the series win, but Sunday did have more action in store. NDSU opened the finale with a lead. Until Omaha hit in 4 in a matter of a couple innings to take the lead. Then the best Bison player hit a solo home run to only put the Bison down by 1 run. But they could never make it up and lost the series finale.
The Bison will now take on Concordia-Moorhead on Monday May 10 at 6:30 PM for a single game. Next weekend they will take on South Dakota State for the last conference series of the year and last home series of the year. The action starts with a doubleheader on Friday, game on Saturday and a series finale on Sunday.
North Dakota State Baseball is 32-14 overall and 17-10 in Summit League play.

Softball
NDSU Softball visited South Dakota State for their last series of the year. They got swept in all 4 games and hardly scored more then 3 runs in a game. Not the best weekend for the NDSU women.
The sweep moved NDSU back behind Omaha to the 3rd spot. The Bison go into the Summit League tournament as the 3rd seed. They will play #6 North Dakota on Wednesday, May 12th at 5:30 PM. If they win, they will play #2 Omaha on Thursday, May 13th at 2:30 PM. All games are here in Fargo at NDSU Softball's Tharaldson Park. Good luck ladies!
North Dakota State Softball is 16-28 overall and 11-12 in Summit League play.

Go Bison!
