Bison Baseball Beats the Jacks, Softball Ends Streak

NDSU Students finished their classes with finals this past week. You couldn't tell with the Baseball team. They won the weekend series and overall series this weekend of our biggest rival, South Dakota State.

Baseball
As I said above, the Bison hosted the Jackrabbits this week for the conclusion to the season series and to Summit League play. NDSU won the first game of the doubleheader, lost the second. Then they won the next two games including a big 10-4 win in the finale. 
Next weekend, the Bison travel to Eastern Kentucky for another non-conference 3 game series. It is also the last series of the year. The series begins on Thursday, May 20 at 5 PM, the second and third are on Friday, May 21 and Saturday, May 22. 
Also since Summit League play ended this past weekend for all teams, the matchups for the conference tournament have been revealed. NDSU Baseball will enter the tournament as the 2 seed. The Bison will play 3rd seeded Omaha in the first round when the tournament starts in just under 2 weeks on Thursday, May 27 at 6 PM.
North Dakota State Baseball is 36-15 overall and 20-11 in Summit League play.

Softball
NDSU Softball had a rough game on Wednesday. They lost the first game of the tournament to North Dakota after winning the regular season series. However, the ladies look to rebound next Spring. Good season ladies, have a good summer!
North Dakota State Softball finishes the season with a 16-29 overall record and 11-12 conference record.

Oh yeah, SDSU football lost the national championship, hah!
