Bison Sports Update: April 10th

NDSU had a pretty good week!

Baseball
NDSU Baseball was supposed to play in Minneapolis against the Gophers on Tuesday, but the game was canceled due to winter weather. On Thursday it was announced that due to less then desirable field conditions, the St. Thomas series would be moved to St. Paul. The Bison lost the opener, 6-0, and seemed that they needed to get their feet set. They won the second half of the double header, 4-1. On Sunday, they just barely squeaked out a win, 8-7.
This week, NDSU will finally open Newman Outdoor Field on Tuesday when they host NAIA Dakota Wesleyan at 5:30 PM. On Friday, they will open home Summit League play when they host Omaha for Easter Weekend.

North Dakota State Baseball is 7-2 in Summit League play, and 19-10 overall.

Softball
NDSU Softball continued Summit League play this week and opened up Tharaldson Park for the first time in 2022 with a series win over Kansas City. They won the first two games, 1-0 and 4-1. The series finale was canceled due to steady rain in Fargo.
This week the Bison will host another series for Easter Weekend, this time against Western Illinois. They start with a Friday doubleheader at 12 PM CT.

North Dakota State Softball is 4-4 in Summit League play, and 22-17 on the season.
