Bison Sports Update: April 14

Its another great week to be a Bison!

Softball
NDSU Softball hosted North Dakota this weekend in a three game series. The Bison lost a close game to open on Saturday, and won in the second game of the doubleheader. On Sunday, they lost another close game that went to 8 innings. 
This week, the Bison will hit the road again. On Wednesday they will head to Madison to play Wisconsin in a one day duel that was rescheduled from a couple weeks ago. Then, over the weekend, they will head to Brookings to play South Dakota State in another Summit League three game series, and it starts on Friday.
North Dakota State Softball is 3-6 in Summit League play and 16-22 overall on the season.

Baseball
NDSU Baseball had quite the week! First they wrapped up their Omaha road trip with a win over Creighton, who received votes in last week's media Top 25 poll! Then, over the weekend, they came home to host St. Thomas in a three game series. The Tommies exerted their strength to win the opener on Friday, but NDSU got to work the next two days and claimed the series win with a 6-1 win in Sunday's finale.
This week, the Bison will first head down to Minneapolis to play Minnesota on Tuesday in a one off game. Then, they will come back to Fargo to host Northern Colorado in a 3 game series starting on Thursday and finishing up on Saturday.
North Dakota State Baseball is 9-5 in Summit League play and 12-19 overall on the season.
