Yeah, NDSU athletics had different week depending on the time of day.

Softball
NDSU Softball continued their South Dakota trip this week when they visited the Jackrabbits in Brookings. Because of the weather, the series was shifted all the way to Sunday-Monday. The two teams opened the series on Sunday with a very close game until the final innings, and NDSU lost 4-0. Then on Monday, it got ugly. Things looked good for the Bison for the first 3 innings. NDSU came out and got a 2-0 lead, let in 2 runs but hit another in at the 3rd inning. But in the bottom of the 5th inning, things fell apart and the Bison let in 10 runs to end the game, final score: 12-3. The Bison pitching rebounded for the finale, and only managed to let in 1 run, but it was in the bottom of the 7th inning. NDSU's batting struggled this weekend, and the Bison got swept with a 1-0 loss. Honestly, very disappointing for a team that was flying through their schedule up until this point.
This week, the Bison hope to finish their road trip in St. Paul as they face off against St. Thomas. The series begins on Saturday at 12 PM with a doubleheader, and concludes with the finale on Sunday at 11 AM.

North Dakota State Softball is 7-5 in Summit League play, and 23-16 on the season.

Baseball
NDSU Baseball had a much different week. The Bison traveled to the Twin Cities to play two teams. They played Minnesota on Tuesday, and lost in a high scoring game, 12-9. Then on Friday, they crossed to river to play St. Thomas in St. Paul. NDSU beat the Tommies in 8 innings with a 13-3 victory to open the series. With the impending weather approaching, the teams played a doubleheader on Saturday to finish the series. NDSU opened said doubleheader with a 10-4 victory to win the series. Unfortunately the bats went silent for the finale, and NDSU lost, 2-1.
This week, some things are changing. The Bison were scheduled to open Newman Outdoor Field this week with Mayville State on Tuesday, as well as Oral Roberts for the weekend. The Mayville State game has been cancelled, and there is plenty of reason to believe the weekend series will be moved. The field in Fargo still isn't quite ready with the rapid melting this past week, and the area is expected to get rain and snow just before the series is scheduled to begin. Who knows when and where they will play, but NDSU will play Oral Roberts this upcoming weekend.

North Dakota State Baseball is 6-3 in Summit League play, and 10-24 on the season.

Go Bison!!
