Bison Sports Update: April 27

Yeah it was kind of a rough week in some ways.

Softball
Fortunately, the NDSU softball did not have a bad week. They hosted South Dakota this weekend for the final home series of the season and Senior Day. On Saturday, the Bison were able to persevere to two 3-0 shutouts of the Coyotes. On Sunday though, they fell 5-2. 
This week, the Bison will wrap up the regular season schedule when they head down to St. Paul to play league-leading St. Thomas. That series will start with the doubleheader on Friday.
Currently the Bison sit tied for 5th in the conference with South Dakota. The highest they can possibly climb at this point is a firm 5th place, but of course will make the Summit League tournament since UST is still ineligible.
North Dakota State Softball is 5-10 in Summit League play and 18-28 overall on the season.

Baseball
NDSU baseball had a rough week. On Tuesday, they lost at Creighton in 5-2 close game. Over the weekend the Bison could only manage to win one out of 4 against South Dakota State down in Brookings, which really put a dent into their regular season conference title hopes.
They hope to turn it around this week, starting with another matchup with the Gophers down in Minneapolis on Tuesday. Then, over the weekend, they will host Oral Roberts for a three game series starting on Friday.
North Dakota State Baseball is 11-10 in Summit League play and 14-26 overall on the season.
