Bison Sports Update: December 30

Another Christmas to be grateful of being a Bison!

Football
NDSU Football had the last couple weeks off after defeating SDSU in the FCS semifinals before Christmas. This week, they will head down to Frisco, Texas for the 12th time in program history. They will face top seeded and ranked Montana State when they kickoff at 6:00 PM on Monday, January 6th on ESPN. This will be yet another familiar face, as these teams have faced off in almost every season since 2019, and it will be a rematch of last year's FCS second round thriller that ended in overtime when Bison defender Hunter Poncious blocked the Bobcats' extra point that would have sent the game to a second overtime.
North Dakota State Football is 7-1 in MVFC play and 13-2 overall on the season.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball hosted Cal State Bakersfield on Monday for a conclusion of the in-season home and home contract between the two schools. The Bison roared out to a 40 point advantage in the 1st half and never looked back, defeating the Roadrunners, 94-60. 
This week, the Bison will open Summit League play hosting St. Thomas on Thursday at 7 PM and then Omaha on Saturday at 1 PM. These games will be streamed on Midco's Summit League Network.
North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 11-4 overall on the season.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball hosted NAIA Dakota Wesleyan on Sunday for the conclusion of their non-conference schedule. The Bison toyed with them a little bit, but would emerge victorious in a 64-55 decision. 
This week, NDSU will hit the road to start Summit League play when they head down to St. Paul to meet St. Thomas on Saturday at 1 PM. That game will be available on the Summit League Network.
North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 8-5 overall on the season.
