Bison Sports Update: December 30th

Some good and some bad.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball opened Summit League play this week hosting South Dakota. The Bison played a decent first half but was trailing into the 2nd half. They would never regain the lead, putting together a few good 3 minute spurts but when they weren't on, they allowed tons of points. That would doom them in the 66-75 loss at home.
This week, the Bison will play their share of the Big Sky-Summit challenge. They will host Montana at home on Wednesday, whom they played in the Basketball Travelers Mike Montgomery Classic back in November and beat 78-69. That game tips off at 7 PM CT on WDAY Xtra and Summit League Network. Then, on Saturday, they head out to Cheney, Washington to play Eastern Washington for the road portion of the classic. That game tips off at 4 PM CT on ESPN+.
North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 0-1 in Summit League play and 7-7 on the season.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball opened up Summit League play this week traveling down to Vermillion to play USD. NDSU had their way with the Coyotes, taking a sizeable lead in the 1st quarter and never looking back. The Bison would go on to win 84-69, which is the largest lead over USD in Vermillion in Division I. 
This week, the Big Sky-Summit challenge is on deck! NDSU begins their share out in Bozeman, Montana with the road portion against Montana State at 6:30 PM CT on Wednesday. It will be broadcast on ESPN+. Then, on Saturday, the Bison return home to host Northern Arizona at 1 PM CT inside the Shac. The game will be broadcast on WDAY Xtra and Summit League Network.
North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 1-0 in Summit League play and 6-6 on the season.
