Lots of cool Bison news to share!

Football
NDSU Football hosted conference opponent Southern Illinois for the first FCS Playoffs game of the season for the Bison. This second round matchup is a rematch game from the terrible game the Bison played in February as part of the Spring season. NDSU certainly got revenge today. The final score was 38-7. The only close part of the game was the first part of the 1st quarter. The Bison struck first when Cam Miller ran in his second rushing touchdown of the year! NDSU was then held to a 20 yard field goal on their next drive. Now SIU had been held to punts or turnover on downs to this point. Then the Salukis scored off the back of a 22 yard score and a 50 yard completion.
But from this point on it was all Bison the rest of the game. NDSU scored two touchdowns in the 2nd quarter both rushing. TaMerik Williams got his first playoff score in his college career and Miller added another rushing touchdown to his resume. In the 3rd quarter Williams scored again on a 1 yard rush. Then in the 4th quarter Quincy Patterson came in and scored his first touchdown in more then a month! He scored on a 32 yard QB run! Patterson was used in the game prior to this point highlighted by multiple 20+ yard runs. NDSU could do this more in the coming game(s) the rest of this year.
Gotta say it was nice to see the team have nothing but a great day today. NDSU dominated SIU in every facet of the word. Very much a revenge game of the horror show from February.
Now NDSU will await the NCAA committee to see what day and time they will play next weekend. It should be announced on Sunday. It will be either Friday or Saturday.

NDSU Football is 7-1 in MVFC play and 11-1 overall on the season.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball had an ok week. On Thursday they had quite the up hill climb as they dropped a game in Creighton, 55-80. Yet again another lackluster showing in a matchup against a Major 7 team. But this isn't a game we expected to learn much from the Bison so we move on!
NDSU came home to host Northland College on Thursday and it was a thrashing inside the SHAC. NDSU beat NC 114-51 off of freshman Andrew Morgan's 23 points and Tyree Eady's 22 points. Boden Skunberg also had 23 points.

This week the Bison will go out to Bozeman, Montana to visit the Montana State Bobcats on Tuesday at 8 PM CT. It will be broadcast on ESPN+. Then on Friday NDSU will be coming home to host Colorado State-Northridge at 7 PM CT.

NDSU Men's Basketball is 5-3 on the year.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball didn't have a much better week then the men did. They visited Big 12 power Kansas State and lost 57-78. They hosted Bradley on Saturday night and the game was far better! Bradley, a typical NCAA tournament contender came to town to play the Bison for the first time in years. NDSU had an up and down game but they were able to pull ahead in the second half for an 11 point victory, 83-72.
NDSU now hits the road this week to the West Coast. The Bison will first visit AP 7th ranked Arizona on Thursday at 8:30 PM CT. They will then travel up north to Laramie, Wyoming to play Wyoming on Sunday at 2 PM CT.
NDSU Women's Basketball is 3-4 on the year.

Go Bison!
