It was a great week to be a Bison!!

Football
NDSU Football hosted 15th seeded Abilene Christian at the Fargodome on Saturday for the 2024 FCS Second Round game. The Bison started this game in a bad way. While they put the first points on the board in a field goal, they would give up two touchdowns to ACU by the end of the 1st quarter including one that was a 90 yard run. After a field goal in the 2nd quarter by the Wildcats, the Bison finally got their spark in a 100 yard (technically 104 yard) kickoff return touchdown from Jackson Williams! After that it was all NDSU for the majority the game. The Bison would end up adding 31 points to the board before the Wildcats would respond. By that point, NDSU had a two possession lead late in the 3rd quarter. The Bison would tack on another touchdown before ACU scored again. But ACU would throw two picks, one for a Bison touchdown late in the 4th quarter to seal the win for NDSU. While it was a very non-traditional Bison win, it is still a win and NDSU will move on to next weekend.
This week, the Bison will host 7th seeded Mercer in the FCS Quarterfinals. The Bears defeated 10th seeded Rhode Island on Saturday in a close 10-7 victory. The game this week will kickoff at 2:00 PM and will be nationally broadcast on ABC.
North Dakota State Football is 7-1 in MVFC play and 11-2 overall on the season.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball alternated road and home games this past week for the Big Sky-Summit challenge. On Wednesday, the Bison visited Weber State for the away portion of the challenge. NDSU would largely control the game and hold on late for a 77-73 win. Then, on Saturday, the Bison would come home to host Northern Colorado for the home portion of the challenge. NDSU would be victorious again, handling the Bears for an 82-70 win.
This week, the Bison will briefly hit the road to play Butler on Tuesday at 5:30 PM on FS1. Then, on Friday, NDSU will come home to host Division III Wisconsin-Stout at 12:00 PM and then Western Michigan on Sunday at 1 PM.
North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 7-4 overall on the season.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball also played their Big Sky-Summit challenge schedule this week. On Wednesday, NDSU hosted a rematch from last season's WNIT Second Round in Montana. The Bison handled the Lady Griz in a 83-74 victory. Then, on Saturday, the Bison went out to Cheney, Washington to faceoff against Eastern Washington. NDSU would dominate this game and win 74-47.
This week, the Bison will visit Tulane on Tuesday at 4 PM on ESPN+.
North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 6-3 overall on the season.
