NDSU athletics had kind of a melancholy week.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball wrapped up their 3 game road trip this week, first with a visit to Kansas City on Thursday night. The Bison would bounce back from a two game losing streak with a 78-72 win over the Roos. On Saturday, NDSU would enter the typically-quiet Baxter Arena to a very different sight. While facing a much better Omaha team, they were greeted by 2,000+ fans in a game that they just couldn't quite get over the hump. The Bison would fall to the Mavs, 74-85, and would complete a season sweep for the first time in Division I history for Omaha.
This week, the Bison will come home to host Oral Roberts on Thursday night on CBS Sports Network at 8 PM CT. Then, on Saturday, they will host Denver at 1 PM CT on the Summit League Network.
North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 6-5 in Summit League play and 17-9 overall on the season.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball got some much needed rest for the majority of the week. They hosted South Dakota on Saturday for Alumni day. The Bison and Coyotes would go back and forth for much of the game, but NDSU would emerge as the better team. They won 75-65 over the 'Yotes and completed a season sweep of the Vermillion team for the third season in a row.
This week, the Bison will host arch-rival and perennial power South Dakota State on Wednesday at 7 PM CT. On Saturday, they will begin a 3 game road trip with a visit to their in-state rivals to the north, up at UND. That game will tip off at 7 PM CT. Both games will be on the Summit League Network.
North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 8-2 in Summit League play and 16-7 overall on the season.

Softball
NDSU Softball began their 2025 campaign this weekend with a visit to Charleston, South Carolina for the Charleston Invitational. On Friday, they lost the opener to Virginia Tech in 5 innings, 8-0, but defeated tournament host Charleston 2-1. On Saturday, much of the same - they defeated Fordham 2-1 but fell to Virginia Tech again 9-0 in 5 innings. On Sunday, they wrapped up the weekend with a 2-1 victory over Fordham.
This week, the Bison will head down to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to play again in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge. They begin the challenge on Wednesday against BYU. They will play Boise State and Indiana on Thursday, FIU on Friday, and wrap up with Illinois State on Saturday.
North Dakota State Softball is 3-2 overall on the season.

Baseball
NDSU Baseball is about to start their 2025 season, so lets break it down!
This year's schedule seems far more challenging than normal for NDSU. They will begin the month of February with a visit to Dallas, Texas against 21st ranked Dallas Baptist on February 14-16. This kicks off a long Texas swing, as the Bison will then travel to Beaumont to play Lamar on February 18-19. They will finish up their stay in the Lone Star State with a weekend series at UT Rio Grande Valley (February 21-23).
The Bison will end the month of February and start the month of March with a visit to Tuscaloosa, Alabama against the Crimson Tide from February 28-March 2. After that they will head over to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for a mid-week dual at LSU (March 4-5). The following weekend will feature a visit to New Orleans to play a series at Tulane (March 7-9). After this, the Bison will head just a little bit north to open Summit League play at Oral Roberts from March 14-16. Then, they will interrupt conference play to go face Oklahoma State on March 18-19 in the middle of the week. The following weekend features yet another Summit League series, this time out in Greeley against Northern Colorado. NDSU will wrap up the month of March opening up Newman Outdoor Field for the first home series of the season, against rival South Dakota State from March 28-30.
The Bison will then open the month of April down in Omaha against the Mavs from April 4-6. While they are down in Nebraska, they will head just down the road to play Creighton on April 8. Next, they will come back home to host St. Thomas from April 11-13. After that they will go down to Minneapolis for the now annual matchup against the Gophers on April 15. The following weekend they head back to Fargo to host Northern Colorado from April 17-19. After this they will yet again play Creighton, this time on April 22. The next weekend, they will go down to Brookings to play at South Dakota State from April 25-27. NDSU will wrap up the month of April with another matchup against Minnesota on April 29 that will technically wrap up non-conference play.
In May, the Bison will start with a home series against reigning Summit champ Oral Roberts from May 2-4. Then, they will play a rare game against a professional league opponent, the same team they share a clubhouse with in the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks. That game will of course take place at Newman Outdoor Field on May 7 at 6 PM CT, and it will be an exhibition game. Then, NDSU will head down to St. Paul to play the Tommies for the second time, from May 9-11. The Bison will finish up their 2025 season at home against Omaha, from May 15-17. The 2025 Summit League Tournament will take place from May 21-25 down in Omaha, Nebraska.

All 4 sports will be in full swing this week. Let's go!!
Go Bison!!
