Bison Sports Update: January 17th

An up and down week for Bison athletics.

Men's Basketball
The Bison men only had one game this week after their home matchup against newcomer St. Thomas was postponed due to covid issues with the Tommies. They hosted Western Illinois on Saturday and they were in for a fight. They were down for most of the game by at least 10. However, in the second half the team mounted a comeback. By 5 minutes left in the game, the team pulled the game even. With more free throws from Rocky in the final seconds of the game, the Bison sent the game to overtime. However, the team didn't seem up to the task and lost the game by 11 in the extra frame.
This week NDSU will hit the road again for a while. On Thursday, they visit Kansas City at 7 PM. After that they head to Oklahoma to face Oral Roberts on Saturday at 7 PM.

North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 3-2 in Summit League play, and 11-6 overall on the year.

Women's Basketball
This past week the Bison women had a couple road games. They faced off against St. Thomas for the first time in Division 1. They lost that game 62-73.
Then they headed to Western Illinois and defeated the Leathernecks 63-55.

This week NDSU will return home for a while. They begin the homestand with Kansas City on Thursday at 7 PM. Then they take on Oral Roberts on Saturday at 1 PM.

North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 3-4 in Summit League play, and 7-10 overall on the season.
