Bison Sports Update: January 20th

NDSU Athletics had a mediocre week this week.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball had an up and down week. They started with Denver at home on Thursday. While the Bison slowed the Pioneers' leading scorer, they fell 70-78 to continue the losing streak to 6. On Saturday, NDSU hosted Oral Roberts. It was a much different game then last year's series. The Bison emerged victorious in a game that never really went to double digits for either team, 72-67.
This week, NDSU will hit the road to play St. Thomas in St. Paul on Thursday at 7 PM CT. That game will be broadcast on the Summit League Network. After that, the Bison will have the rest of the weekend off.
North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 2-3 in Summit League play and 9-11 overall on the season.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball also had an up and down week. They played quite well in Denver on Thursday, beating the Pioneers in a 20 point victory. Most of that margin came in the 4th quarter. Then, on Saturday, the Bison struggled in Tulsa. It resulted in a 75-84 defeat, and it is the latest in a string of defeats in Tulsa that date back to 2015.
This week, NDSU will come home to start a homestand with St. Thomas on Thursday at 7 PM CT. The game will be broadcast on WDAY Xtra and the Summit League Network.
North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 4-1 in Summit League play and 10-8 overall on the season.
