Bison Sports Update: January 27th

NDSU had a back and forth week.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball started their road trip with a visit to St. Paul to play the Tommies this week. While the Bison hung around for most of the game, St. Thomas put them away in the last 5 minutes of the game (stop me if this sounds familiar). This concludes an abysmal January for the Bison. The team had Saturday off.
This week begins the month of February for the Bison. They begin the month with a road trip to Brookings on Thursday to play league-leading South Dakota State, and they finish the week with the round trip up to Grand Forks to play in-state rival UND.
North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 2-4 in Summit League play and 9-12 overall on the season.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball started a home stand this week, hosting St. Thomas at the SHAC. The Bison had their way with the Tommies, cruising their way to an 85-52 win. This continues the Bison women's best stretch of the season so far, as they have won 7 of their last 9 games.
The beginning of February is also coming for the Bison women as well this week. On Thursday they will host league leading South Dakota State, and will be trying to knock off the Jacks in Fargo for the first time since 2015, when they were playing in Scheels Arena as the SHAC was being renovated. On Saturday, they will head up to Grand Forks to play UND in a doubleheader, the men playing afterwards.
North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 5-1 in Summit League play and 11-8 overall on the season.
