Bison Sports Update: January 28th

NDSU Athletics had a decent week.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball only had one game this week. They hosted in-state rival North Dakota at the Shac on Friday. The game was very close in the first half, but a crowd of 3,867 watched the Bison slowly pull away in the 2nd half to win 91-75. This snaps that frustrating 2 game losing streak for NDSU.
However, there will be no rest for the weary, as the Bison have to hit the road for the South Dakota away trip. This week, NDSU will visit Vermillion to play the Coyotes on Thursday at 7 PM. Then on Saturday, the Bison visit arch-rival South Dakota State at 2 PM.

North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 9-13 on the season, and 6-4 in Summit League play.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball also only had one game this week. The Bison visited in-state rival UND this Saturday for the final time before the conference tournament. NDSU lost that game 73-82 after giving up 24+ points in the 3rd quarter. 
This week, NDSU will come home to host two big games. On Thursday, the Bison will host South Dakota at 7 PM. This is a big one for NDSU, as the Bison beat the Coyotes in Vermillion back in early January, so this game has a different feel then it did a year ago. Then, on Saturday, the dominant Jackrabbits come to town to face off at 1 PM. SDSU blew out the Bison in Brookings earlier this month, so any kind of close game would be good for NDSU.

North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 13-7 on the season, and 7-3 in Summit League play.
