NDSU athletics didn't have the best week.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball had an up and down week. They started out the week at home against St. Thomas on Tuesday. It was a rescheduled game from earlier in January. The Bison had a great game against the Tommies. While the teams were close in the first 10 minutes, NDSU grew their lead for the rest of the game and won 77-56. Then the team headed back on the road for their South Dakota trip. They started the road trip with an overtime win against South Dakota. It was close most of the game, until overtime as the Bison dominated to end the game. They won 74-62.
The game in Brookings on Saturday was a different story. It was a back and forth game, the Bison actually pulled a few leads during the game. But the Bison didn't have the shots at the end of the game to pull through. NDSU held the Jacks to 1-12 from 3 (8.3%), most likely a historic low for SDSU. They lost 76-80.

This week the Bison come home for a two game homestand. They begin with Omaha on Thursday at 7 PM. Then finish the week against Denver on Saturday at 1 PM. Currently the Bison sit at a tie for 3rd place in the conference with South Dakota. NDSU does hold the tiebreaker with the Coyotes after beating them this week.

North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 6-4 in Summit League play and 14-8 on the season.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball had a rough go of things this week. They hosted conference powerhouse South Dakota on Thursday in a game decided by the Coyotes talent. NDSU fell 59-78 to a team receiving votes in the national poll. Then on Saturday, the Bison hosted rival South Dakota State. They weren't able to hang in with them either and lost 60-76.

This week the Bison hit the road to visit Omaha on Thursday at 7 PM, and Denver on Saturday at 2 PM. NDSU currently sits in 7th place in the conference.

North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 4-7 in Summit League play, and 8-13 on the season.

As we head into February here, watch for more news on the Baseball and Softball teams since they begin their seasons in the coming weeks!
