NDSU athletics had what we call, a week.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball was in Sioux Falls this past weekend for the Summit League tournament. The Bison played St. Thomas in the quarterfinals, however NDSU was really only in the game for the first 8 minutes. Even still, they didn't look like they wanted to be there. NDSU looked like a shell of their former selves, and lost by 10 even though they were down by 20 for most of the game. This concludes the season for the Bison.
North Dakota State Men's Basketball finishes the season 8-8 in Summit League play and 15-17 overall.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball was also in Sioux Falls this past weekend. The Bison played Denver in the quarterfinals, and handled them to get their first appearance in the semifinals in three years. In the semifinals, NDSU defeated Oral Roberts after leading by ten for most of the game. The Bison then made history, making their first Summit League championship game, as well as the first 20 win season since 2004-05. Unfortunately, NDSU would fall to top-seeded SDSU in the title game, even though they were close for the entire game until the final few minutes when the Jacks pulled away.
The Bison will now wait to see if they get a bid to either the new NCAA sponsored WBIT (unlikely) or the WNIT. Selections are announced this Sunday, March 17th.
North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 13-3 in Summit League play and 21-11 overall on the season.

Softball
NDSU Softball went out west this week for the Silicon Valley Classic. To make it simple, the Bison lost all five games of the classic this weekend, with one of them going to extra innings. On Tuesday, the Bison went over to Stockton to play Pacific and won in 8 innings!
This week, the Bison will finish out their trip out west and play in the Saint Mary's Tournament. On Friday they will play Marist and tournament host Saint Mary's, and then the same thing again on Saturday.
North Dakota State Softball is 11-17 overall on the season.

Baseball
NDSU Baseball took a trip over to Louisiana this week, first for a three game series at Southeastern Louisiana. The Bison managed to win the series opener, but were unable to keep a lead in the next two games and lost the series. On Tuesday and Wednesday NDSU played 2nd ranked LSU for a two game duel. NDSU lost both games, however neither ended early. This has been the highest ranked team at the time that the program has played.
This week, the Bison will start Summit League play. They will head over to Omaha to play the Mavericks in the conference opening 3-game series. That starts on Friday! As a reminder, all conference games will be broadcast on the Summit League network.
North Dakota State Baseball is 3-13 overall on the season.

Go Bison!!
