It was another great week to be a Bison!!

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball started out the week hearing that they received a bye to the WNIT second round. Following the end of the WNIT first round, the tournament gave a home game to the Bison as they would host New Mexico State. Then, today on Monday, the Bison played said second round game at the SHAC. NDSU and the Aggies were quite close for the entire game, but the Bison pulled through in the final 2 minutes to secure another WNIT second round win. This is the second season in a row that the Bison made the WNIT super 16.
This week, the Bison will play at least a game in the Super 16 round of the WNIT. They currently are awaiting the result of Utah Valley at Washington State that is playing as I am writing this. After they know who they will play, they will then find out if they will host another WNIT game that would take place between March 26th and 28th. If NDSU would win that game, they would play in the Great 8 which would take place between March 29th and 31st.
North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 11-5 in Summit League play and 20-11 overall on the season.

Softball
NDSU Softball had a fabulous start to Summit League play this week as they visited the Roos of Kansas City. After the series was moved up a day, the Bison opened with a 6 inning victory, followed by a close loss. NDSU wrapped up the weekend with a series win on Saturday.
This week, the Bison take the week off. They will be back in action on April Fools Day against Wisconsin.
North Dakota State Softball is 2-1 in Summit League play and 15-17 overall on the season.

Baseball
NDSU Baseball also had a good week. They opened the week with a visit to Stillwater, Oklahoma for a dual against Oklahoma State. They lost the first game, 9-1, before the second one was cancelled. So they then embarked for Greeley, Colorado to play Northern Colorado to resume Summit League play. NDSU won the opener on Friday, lost on Saturday, before winning a drama-filled weekend finale on Sunday.
This week, the Bison will finally come home to open up Newman Outdoor Field against rival South Dakota State. If you plan to go to the games though, be sure to dress warm as the weather is not terribly favorable for the late March opener.
North Dakota State Baseball is 4-2 in Summit League play and 6-16 overall on the season.

Go Bison!!
