NDSU Athletics had an up and down week.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball went down to Sioux Falls this week for the Summit League tournament. This year the Bison were the number 3 seed. On Sunday, NDSU matched up against 6th seeded South Dakota. It was quite the close game, NDSU came out on top: 70-68. Then on Monday night, the Bison matched up against arch-rival South Dakota State. In front of 7,000 screaming Jacks fans the Bison took down the perennial favorite very convincingly, 89-79. But then came the tournament championship game against conference-unbeaten Oral Roberts. Unfortunately, the Bison had no answer for ORU's offense all night and fell 92-58. While NDSU misses out on the NCAA tournament bid, they made the Summit League tournament final for the 5th straight year and 11th time as a league member.
The Bison had a great season after it started very poorly.

North Dakota State Men's Basketball finishes the season with a 11-7 record in Summit League play, and a 16-17 record overall. Great season, guys!

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball also went down to Sioux Falls this week. Disappointingly, the Bison women had less luck then the men did this weekend and fell on their first game to 10th seeded Kansas City (Bison were the 2 seed), 71-64. However, the Bison season may not be over quite yet. Given that NDSU finished second in the regular season, and SDSU received the auto-bid to the NCAA tournament that would make the Bison the team to potentially receive an invitation to play in the women's NIT tournament. The NDSU athletic department has even submitted a bid to host an opening round game. That selection show is after the women's NCAA selection show late this coming Sunday evening.

North Dakota State Women's Basketball has a 12-6 record in Summit League play, and an 18-11 record overall.

Softball
NDSU Softball went down to Memphis, Tennessee for the Blues City Classic this weekend. Due to the weather restricting travel out of Fargo, the Bison had to cancel their Friday morning game against Drake. They did still play their Friday evening game against UTSA, which they lost 3-2. After that, the Bison did nothing but win. They beat SIU Edwardsville 9-1, and classic host Memphis 15-4 on Saturday. On Sunday, NDSU closed out the weekend with a 7-4 win over UTSA.
This week, the Bison will head over to Minneapolis for the Gopher Indoor Classic at US Bank Stadium. They will play Idaho State and tournament host Minnesota on Friday. Then on Saturday they will play Drake. Then the weekend finale on Sunday will be Idaho State and Drake. The action starts on Friday at 2 PM.

North Dakota State Softball is 9-9 on the season.

Baseball
NDSU Baseball continued their West Coast swing this past week. They started with a game against Arizona State on Wednesday, which they narrowly lost 10-9. Then on Friday they started a 3 game series against Arizona. They would go on to lose all three games, the first a 8-6 comeback loss, the second a 7-6 12 inning nailbiter, the finale a 11-1 8 inning rule.
This week, the Bison will travel east and play a 3-game series against Texas State from Friday to Sunday.

North Dakota State Baseball is 1-11 on the season.

Go Bison!!
