Bison Sports Update: May 12th

Overall, it was a good week in Fargo!

Softball
NDSU Softball went down to Brookings for the Summit League tournament. They were the 6th seed. They lost to Kansas City, the 3rd seed, 2-5. That's it. Unfortunately for the Bison, they only won one game down the stretch of April and May this season - including the tournament. This team is very young, and does have a bright future, better luck next season ladies!
North Dakota State Softball finishes the season with a 4-14 Summit League record and 17-36 overall record.

Baseball
NDSU Baseball also went down to Brookings this week to play South Dakota State. The Bison managed to win the first two games of the series in quite dramatic fashion, the first on a late RBI and the second in a 1 run 11th inning. NDSU would fall in the finale, but overall the two teams split their regular season games, 3-3.
This week, the Bison will return home to play Northern Colorado for the final regular season series. The action begins on Thursday at 6:30 PM CT at Newman Outdoor Field and will be broadcast on WDAY Xtra and the Summit League Network.
North Dakota State Baseball is 13-10-1 in Summit League play and 18-26-1 overall on the season.

Also, a huge congrats to the NDSU Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field teams on taking home both Summit League crowns yet again!
