Bison Sports Update: May 5th

Well it was an interesting week for the Bison.

Softball
NDSU Softball visited the Coyotes down in Vermillion for the final regular season series. The Bison would barely sniff a victory over USD, as they were swept.
Since St. Thomas is ineligible for the Summit League and NCAA tournaments due to their Division I transition from Division III, NDSU will play in the Summit League tournament next week in Brookings. The Bison will be the 6th seed, and will play 3rd seeded Kansas City on Wednesday at 3:30 PM on South Dakota State's campus. All Summit League tournament games will be broadcast on Midco Sports and the Summit League Network.
North Dakota State Softball is 4-14 in Summit League play and 17-36 overall on the season.

Baseball
NDSU Baseball had a midweek trip to Iowa City to play the Hawkeyes this past week. The Bison emerged victorious in a game that resembled a football score, 21-14. Then they hosted league-leading St. Thomas at home this week. While the Tommies claimed the series opener, the rest would be all Bison with the yellow and green winning the final two to claim the only series between the two this season.
This week, NDSU will hit the road for the final road trip of the season for a three game series against rival South Dakota State down in Brookings. That series begins on Friday at 6 PM CT.
North Dakota State Baseball is 10-8-1 in Summit League play and 16-25-1 overall on the season.
