North Dakota State athletics had a rough week.

Baseball
NDSU Baseball started the week with their home opener on Tuesday against NAIA Mayville State. They won the game 10-0 in 7 innings.
Then the Bison traveled to Coral Gables, Florida for a 3 game series against 5th ranked Miami. They lost all three games, the first two were quite painful (22-0 and 16-1). However, the finale was the best of the three for the Bison, they lost 6-4 after holding a lead for most of the game.
NDSU will return home for the remainder of the season. They host Summit League newcomer Northern Colorado next weekend for a traditional 3-game series. The Bison swept the Bears when they started Summit League play in Greeley, Colorado in early April. The series begins on Friday at 6:30 PM at Newman Outdoor Field.

North Dakota State Baseball is 12-4 in Summit League play and 25-16 overall on the season.

Softball
NDSU Softball had a better week then the Baseball team. They hosted their last home series of the season in the final weekend of the season against division 1 newcomer St. Thomas. All three games were pitching battles with the Bison victorious in the first two (2-0, 3-0) as they fell in the finale (1-2). This concludes the regular season for the softball team.
NDSU did make the 6-team Summit League tournament in Brookings, SD. They will be the 3-seed and will take on 6-seed North Dakota on Wednesday, May 11th at 4:30 PM CT. NDSU only played two games against UND this year, as the first was cancelled. They split the doubleheader in Fargo. All tournament games will be broadcast on Midco Sports and at The Summit League's website. If the Bison beat the Fighting Hawks, they will move on to Thursday where they would play the 2-seed Omaha at 1:30 PM. From then on it gets more complicated, if they lose the second game, they will play the loser of the 1-seed game at 4:00 PM. If the Bison make it to the Semi-finals they would play either at 1 PM or 3:30 PM. The Summit League championship games are scheduled for 1 PM and 3:30 PM on Saturday, May 14.

North Dakota State Softball is 10-8 in Summit League, and 28-21 overall on the season.

Also, congrats to Men's Golf on a great Summit League tournament in Kansas this past week!

Go Bison!
