Bison athletics had a great week!

Football
NDSU Football closed out the regular season this weekend at Northern Iowa. They made a statement in Cedar Falls! NDSU roared out to a 27-10 halftime lead after scoring two TD's through the air and another on the ground. In the 2nd half, the Bison further took over. They picked off UNI 2 more times and returned one of them for a pick-six! Cole Payton also had quite the 2nd half, carrying the ball for 3 times and scoring on two of them - one from 65 yards out and the other from 23 yards out.
NDSU now has two ranked wins on the season. This apparently didn't matter to the FCS playoff committee. On Sunday, the playoff bracket was unveiled. NDSU is sitting at a 1st round game hosting PFL champion Drake. Several teams were seeded that had worse or the same resume as NDSU.
This week, the Bison will host Drake in the FCS first round on Saturday at 2:30 PM CT on ESPN+.

North Dakota State Football is 5-3 in MVFC play and 8-3 overall on the season.

Volleyball
NDSU Volleyball had an underwhelming week. They lost at UND on Tuesday to close the regular season on a low note. They clinched the 5 seed a week ago already so they are headed to the Summit League tournament. The Bison will play on Sunday at 5 PM CT against South Dakota for the quarterfinal round.
North Dakota State Volleyball is 9-7 in Summit League play and 17-10 overall on the season.

Men's Basketball
NDSU men's basketball had a decent week. They traveled out to Missoula to play in the Basketball Travelers Mike Montgomery Classic. On Tuesday they play UC Davis and lost 53-68 in an underwhelming game. Then, on Thursday, the Bison played the tourney host Montana. They beat the Griz 78-69 in a big win for NDSU in the young season.
This week, the Bison will host Wisconsin-Stout (DIII) on Monday at 7 PM CT. Then, on Saturday, NDSU will travel out to Phoenix, Arizona to play Grand Canyon University for the first time in program history. Tipoff is at 7 PM CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 3-2 on the season.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball had a rough week. This week, they traveled to Minneapolis to play Minnesota. This was a rematch from last year in Fargo when the Bison defeated the Lindsey Whalen-led Gophers in a season defining win. This year, it didn't quite happen that way. The Bison got off to a slow start and fell behind, and never could quite catch up and fell 53-75 at the Barn.
This week, NDSU will head out to Greeley, Colorado on Monday to play Northern Colorado at 7 PM CT. Then, on Friday, the Bison will head out to San Diego to play in the San Diego classic and will play Harvard at 4:30 PM CT. On Saturday, they will finish that classic against Toledo at 2 PM CT. None of the three games will be broadcast this week.
North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 1-2 on the season.

Go Bison!
