It was pretty good week for NDSU Athletics!

Football
NDSU Football hosted in-state rival, North Dakota, in the annual Harvest Bowl game on Saturday. The Bison ran out to a 21-0 lead very quickly in the 1st and 2nd quarters with multiple rushing touchdowns. In the 2nd quarter, UND got on the board with a couple touchdowns. The second one was just about as time expired in the quarter. NDSU managed to get another touchdown in the 2nd quarter. But the momentum sat with UND at half.
Out of the locker room, the Bison very quickly roared to another touchdown only two minutes in the 2nd half. UND was able to respond with a touchdown of their own. But then after the teams exchanged punts, NDSU ran in another touchdown. This would be the final score of the game since neither team scored in the 4th quarter. Its still a Bison state, 42-21.
On Sunday, the NCAA committee unveiled the 2022 FCS Playoff bracket. The Bison received the number 3 national seed in this year's postseason. Fellow MVFC teams, SDSU and UND both received bids in the playoffs. SDSU is the national number 1 seed, and UND is unseeded playing Big Sky power Weber State in the first round. The winner of that game will play at number 4 seed Montana State. SDSU will await the result of Delaware at St. Francis (PA). The Bison will await the result of Montana at Southeast Missouri St. NDSU's second round game is scheduled for Saturday, December 3rd at 2:30 PM in the Fargodome.

North Dakota State Football finishes the regular season with a 9-2 overall record, and a 7-1 record in MVFC play.

Volleyball
NDSU Volleyball concluded their regular season this week as well. They traveled to South Dakota to take on the two Dakota teams that reside across the border. On Thursday, the Bison took down league-leading South Dakota for the second time this year. They are the only Summit League team to beat USD twice this year. Then, on Saturday the Bison lost to South Dakota State in 3 sets.
After the season concluded on Saturday, the Summit League revealed the 2022 tournament bracket. The Bison made the tournament as the 3 seed, this being their first postseason tournament since 2019. They will travel to Omaha for the tournament this year and will play 6th seeded North Dakota in the opening round on Thursday at 7 PM CT.

North Dakota State Volleyball is 20-10 overall on the season and 13-5 in Summit League play.

Men's Basketball
NDSU men's basketball played a game at home and away this week. They started on the road at Indiana State on Thursday. NDSU lost that game, 75-101. Then on Sunday, they hosted D-III Crown College and emerged victorious, 76-55.
This week, the Bison will hit the road for the Lobo Classic in Albuquerque, New Mexico that will take place from November 25-27. In that time, NDSU will take on Northern Colorado on Friday at 8:30 PM, New Mexico on Saturday at 6 PM, and then conclude with Jacksonville State on Sunday at 4 PM.

Women's Basketball
The NDSU women played a couple of home games this week after their initial home opener was cancelled last Thursday. On Monday, the Bison took on NAIA Valley City State and were victorious 96-45. Then on Thursday, NDSU hosted Big Ten-Minnesota for the first time since 2006. It was the latest in a string of Big Ten teams to visit the Scheels Center in recent years, including Wisconsin in 2019 and Nebraska in 2017. The Bison played a hard game against the Gophers, and emerged victorious! They achieved their early-season statement game in 71-65 defeat of Minnesota.
This week, NDSU will start the season home against Northern Colorado on Tuesday at 7 PM. Before heading on the road for a Thanksgiving weekend invitational of their own. They will travel to Reno, Nevada to take on Boise State on Friday at 6:30 PM, and then Nevada on Sunday at 2:30 PM.

North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 3-0 on the season.
