Some teams had a good week, others did not.

Football
NDSU Football opened their 2023 FCS playoffs hosting Pioneer League champion Drake in the First Round at the Fargodome on Saturday. The Bison stumbled early as Cam Miller fumbled on the first play of the game. Drake would kick a field goal to take an early 3-0 lead. After that though it would be all Bison. NDSU would be up 35-3 at halftime and eventually win 66-3, firing on all cylinders. Hopefully they can translate this to their second round matchup.
This week, the Bison will hit the road for the remainder of their playoff run. They move on to the second round where they will head to Bozeman, Montana to faceoff against 6th seeded Montana State. Kickoff is at 2 PM CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
North Dakota State Football is 5-3 in MVFC play and 9-3 overall on the season.

Men's Basketball
NDSU Men's Basketball started their week at home against Wisconsin-Stout (D3). They handled them 101-72, after struggling for the opening 15 mins. Then they hit the road to play Grand Canyon down in Phoenix, AZ. The Bison stormed out to a lead for the first 18 mins of the game before losing steam with halftime approaching and only led by 5 at the break. In the 2nd half it all when down from there, and GCU would emerge victorious, 86-71, in the first ever matchup between the two programs.
This week, the Bison will finish off their road trip over in San Jose for a matchup with the Spartans of San Jose State, coached by former NDSU HC Tim Miles. Tipoff is at 10 PM CT.
North Dakota State Men's Basketball is 4-3 on the season.

Women's Basketball
NDSU Women's Basketball continued their road trip this week, starting with a visit to Northern Colorado. The Bison would win, surviving in the 4th quarter, 67-60. Then, they headed to San Diego for the San Diego Classic. They started with Harvard on Friday, but lost a close one 64-69. Then, on Saturday, they played Toledo to finish off the tournament, and lost 58-73.
This week, the Bison will come home to play Eastern Michigan on Friday at 7 PM CT, and then will host NAIA Mayville State on Sunday at 1 PM CT. Both games will be broadcast on WDAY Xtra and Summit League Network.
North Dakota State Women's Basketball is 2-4 on the season.

Go Bison!!
