Bison Sports Update: October 29th

It was a really great week for NDSU athletics!!

Football
NDSU Football hosted MVFC newcomer this past Saturday. The Bison were hot from the very start of the game and they roared out to a 21-0 lead in the 1st quarter. They did it with two rushing scores from Cam Miller and a Braylon Henderson receiving TD from Miller. In the 2nd quarter NDSU kept rolling with another Cam Miller passing TD, this time to Zach Mathis. Before halftime, Murray State got on the board with a 53 yard knuckle ball field goal. In the 3rd quarter the Bison returned a punt to the endzone, which Jayden Price ties a program record for career punt return touchdowns. Murray State did kick another field goal, this time from 39 yards out, to make the deficit 35-6. In the 4th quarter, NDSU would kick a field goal of their own from 36 yards out to get to the final score of 38-6.
The Bison offense looked great when they were on the field! In the first half they were rolling. In the 3rd quarter they really never got on the field, so presumably lost a bit of rhythm. In the 4th quarter there really wasn't anything there.

Now the Bison head for the Marker week. NDSU heads down to Brookings next Saturday for the annual rivalry game with SDSU. Kickoff is at 2 PM CT

North Dakota State Football is 6-2 overall on the season and 3-2 in MVFC play.

Volleyball
NDSU Volleyball hit the road this past week with games in Kansas City and Omaha. The Bison would win both games and now have a set record of 15-1 in the last 5 matches! In the process, they handed losses to the then first, second, and third place teams.
This week, the Bison host South Dakota State on Thursday for a rest week. The game starts at 7 PM CT.

North Dakota State Volleyball is 16-7 overall on the season and 8-4 in Summit League play.

While men's basketball won their exhibition game this week, I will not do my preview yet. My basketball previews will come out next weekend!

Go Bison!
