Bison Sports Update: October 2nd

Yeah, we have had better days then these.

Football
NDSU Football hosted South Dakota on Saturday for the annual homecoming game. The Bison just looked flat out of the gate. The defense was on their heels after USD launched a 50 yard passing touchdown to begin the game. NDSU would go down and kick a field goal to put points on the board, but it wouldn't get better. In the 2nd quarter USD would score again on a 52 year launch and a long drive to take a 21-3 lead at halftime. 
In the second half, NDSU would find the endzone twice, although it wouldn't be enough. USD scored 3 lone points in the 4th quarter that proved to be the game winning field goal and brings USD to their first upset over the Bison since 2014 and their second win over NDSU since entering Division I. 
This week, the Bison hit the road for the first time in MVFC play, when they visit Missouri State. Kickoff is set for 2 PM CT in Springfield.

North Dakota State Football is 0-1 in MVFC play and 3-1 overall on the season.

Women's Soccer
NDSU Soccer didn't have the greatest week. They went on the road this week, first to Brookings to play South Dakota State. They narrowly lost 1-0 to a good Jackrabbits team. Then they played in St. Paul against St. Thomas on Sunday, and tied them 0-0 after playing with 10 for the last 1/4th of the match.
This week, NDSU will cap off their road trip with a visit to Tulsa to play the Golden Eagles. That game starts at 7 PM CT. Then, on Sunday, the Bison return home to face off against in-state rival North Dakota at 4 PM CT.

North Dakota State Soccer is 0-1-3 in Summit League play and 4-4-5 overall on the season.

Volleyball
NDSU Volleyball had an up and down homecoming week. They dominated St. Thomas on Thursday night, winning in a 3 set sweep. On Saturday, they fell in a comeback bid over Omaha in 5 sets. 
This week, NDSU will visit Brookings to face off with South Dakota State on Thursday night at 7 PM CT. On Saturday, they return home to play South Dakota at 1 PM CT.

North Dakota State Volleyball is 2-2 in Summit League play and 10-5 on the season.
