Before I start, I just want to take a moment to remember what happened on this tragic day 22 years ago. Today we remember the men and women who died in those towers and at the Pentagon, and those brave souls that ran in to rescue them. Never forget, never again.

This was a good week for Bison Athletics!!

Football
NDSU Football hosted Maine this weekend for the home opener. Boy was it a good one! The Bison offense sputtered a bit in the first quarter, settling for two field goals on drives that should have ended with touchdowns. The second quarter was looking the same way with yet another kick between the uprights. However, NDSU got the ball back with under 3 minutes remaining in the half and marched down and scored their first touchdown of the legs of Cam Miller. In the second half, the Bison roared out and scored on their first drive with another scamper by Cam Miller. Later in the 3rd quarter, NDSU would score again - this time from QB Cole Payton to take a commanding lead. They wouldn't look back from there, as the Bison would score two more touchdowns - one by Cole Payton and the other by RB Owen Johnson. Maine would manage to find the endzone late in the 4th quarter to remove the goose egg off the board.
The Bison seem to be rolling now, the defense is playing better then expected given the youth on that side of the ball. The offense is producing just as they should be right now.
This week, the Bison host Central Arkansas on Saturday at 2:30 PM CT.

North Dakota State Football is 2-0 on the season.

Women's Soccer
NDSU Women's Soccer returned home this week to host Northern Colorado and Creighton. The Bison would manage to beat UNC, 1-0 on Friday. Then, on Sunday, NDSU faced a tougher test in the Bluejays. They would fall 3-2.
This week, the Bison finish out their non-conference schedule when they host Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Friday at 6:30 PM CT.

North Dakota State Soccer is 3-3-2 on the season.

Volleyball
NDSU Volleyball hosted their first non-conference tournament in years. The Bison played both of their games on Friday, and they swept both Portland State and Toledo in 3 sets each. NDSU is rolling right now!
This week, they hit the road for the final weekend of non-conference play in Morgantown, West Virginia for the Mountaineer Invitational. NDSU will play Robert Morris on Thursday at 11:30 AM CT as well as tournament host West Virginia the same day at 6 PM CT. The Bison finish up with Old Dominion at 11 AM CT on Friday.

North Dakota State Volleyball is 6-2 on the season.

Go Bison!!
