It was a good week for Bison athletics!!

Football
NDSU Football began their 2023 season down in Minneapolis, Minnesota at US Bank Stadium for the first ever college football game at the venue. They played Eastern Washington, and emerged victorious, 35-10. The Bison started out the game with a great defense and two straight offensive touchdown drives. After that, Eastern Washington scored their only touchdown on a blown coverage. For the most part, the Bison offense would remain quiet except for a few more touchdown drives. The 3rd touchdown in the 2nd quarter was a 70 yard run from backup QB Cole Payton, who looks to make an impact on the offense this year after sitting most of last year out. Starting up late in the 3rd quarter, the Bison scored their 4th touchdown on a 14 yard scamper by starting QB Cam Miller. NDSU's final touchdown of the day came early in the 4th quarter when Cam Miller and Joe Stoffel connected for a 3 yard score. Eastern Washington finished the game with a 36 yard field goal.
The Bison will come back to the Fargodome for the home opener next Saturday when the Maine Black Bears come to town. Kickoff is at 2:30 PM CT.
North Dakota State Football is 1-0 on the season.

Women's Soccer
NDSU Women's Soccer capped off their non-conference road trip with visits to Coastal Carolina and The Citadel. The Bison and Chanticleers fought hard on Thursday, but the Bison punched a goal through towards the end of the game to claim their 2nd victory of the season. On Sunday, NDSU faced off in Charleston against The Citadel. They would end up tying, for the 2nd time this season.
This week, the Bison come home to host Northern Colorado on Thursday at 6 PM, and Creighton on Saturday at 1 PM.
North Dakota State Women's Soccer is 2-2-2 on the season.

Volleyball
NDSU Volleyball didn't have the best weekend out in Dayton, Ohio. The Bison started the tournament with a win over Butler on Friday morning to advance to 4-0 for the first time since 2007. Unfortunately, NDSU would lose their next two games, against Dayton and Ohio both in 4 sets.
This week, the Bison come home for the first time this season when they host the NDSU Tournament. They will play Portland State on Friday at 12 PM and Toledo at 7 PM. Portland State and Toledo will play on Saturday morning to finish off the tournament.
North Dakota State Volleyball is 4-2 on the season.

Go Bison!!
