Hello Bison fans!

Both basketball teams just finished their regular season play today!

I am pleased to report both teams won today to finish the regular season on a high note at the SHAC!

Women's Basketball
Since I last updated all of you, the Bison women have played 2 games!

On Thursday's double header at the SHAC the Bison women came up just a little short. They fell to South Dakota State at 58-85 in the earlier part of the exciting night.

On Saturday's double header the Bison women took their final victory of the season at the SHAC of Omaha by a score of 67-64.

This firmly sets the Bison women a 6th place in the Summit League and will carry that seed going into the conference tournament next week in Sioux Falls, SD.

Men's Basketball
The Bison men have also played 2 games since the last update!

On Thursday, the Bison men had the other half of an exciting double header at the SHAC. This Bison team is a force to be reckoned with as they took it to the Jackrabbits in front of a packed house at the SHAC! Point guard Vinnie Shahid sunk two free throws to force overtime for the Bison. In overtime of the 6 lead changes the Bison ended on top! They beat South Dakota State 71-69 in overtime for the first time in years.

On Saturday, Bison men finished the regular season at the SHAC with senior night with a 87-67 win over Omaha. Tyson Ward scored a game-high 27 points and Vinnie Shahid score 21, giving him his 1,001st point as a Bison!

This Bison men have now tied South Dakota State for the Summit League regular season title, but now it will go down to tiebreaker to determine the #1 and 2 seeds in the conference tournament. If ESPN Stats and Information is right, they have the Bison at #1 in the conference. I will announce on my Twitter page what seed the Bison get.

Go Bison!
